Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) & Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
This is the fastest growing product category in flooring. Vinyl is an excellent material for flooring. It’s very durable, comfortable, and versatile. Vinyl is softer and warmer than a porcelain tile but you can get all of the familiar tile looks, wood looks, and stone looks as you can from a porcelain tile or laminate plank. Unlike the traditional sheet vinyl which comes on a 12 foot roll, LVT and LVP are made in tile and plank formats similar to porcelain tile sizes or laminate plank sizes.
Aside from its warmth and softness, another benefit of LVT & LVP is that they are very dimensionally stable. Moisture and dryness does not affect LVT and LVP as much as a laminate or a hardwood floor. In fact, some foresee LVP completely replacing laminate as a flooring product category in the future.
